"I wouldn't say that." Steve smiles at Bruce again, more of his stage expression in it this time. Talking is starting to get uncomfortable. It's starting to run memories through his head in unpleasant succession, one disaster after another, from Erskine to the train to the frozen air hitting Steve's face during the last conversation he'd ever have with Peggy Carter. He can almost feel the pressure of the doctor's finger tapping against his chest.
